The SanCO2 is a two-part system consisting of a tank (usually placed indoors) and a heat pump unit (usually placed outdoors, up to 66 feet (20 meters) away from the tank). The heat pump works like a reverse air-conditioner, drawing heat energy from the atmosphere and applying it to water from the tank. These heat pumps used to be sold under the ‘Sanden’ brand but are now produced as SanCO2.
